I love to write about issues that my clients bring to therapy.
After recovering from my own eating disorder for good, as well as helping thousands of other women do the same, I wrote It’s Not About the Food: A Woman’s Guide to Making Peace with Food and Our Bodies.
This book contains the approaches, tools, and exercises I use in sessions with my clients in an easy-to-follow format with lots of opportunities to work on your own particular issues with food and body image. Many women, who for whatever reason, cannot attend counseling sessions with me find it extremely helpful in their journey towards finding peace with food and their bodies.
I wrote Dump That Chump after listening to story after story from my clients of being in dysfunctional relationships with toxic people. In this book, I answer these questions thoroughly and provide exercises and tools to end toxic relationship patterns permanently. I kept getting the same questions from them:
- Why do I always end up with the same kind of person who treats me badly?
- How do I attract a healthy partner?
- Is it possible to be in a healthy relationship after being in so many unhealthy ones?
